The Role: We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team and lead the production department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing medium volume, high mix manufacturing operations, process optimization, and a proven track record of achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Work with Planning Team to develop and execute production plans to meet customer demands.
Efficiently allocate resources and manage production schedules to optimize workflow.
Lean Principles Implementation:
Introduce and champion lean manufacturing principles across the production floor.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains.
Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse manufacturing team to ensure a high level of motivation, engagement, and performance.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and problem-solving.
Grow a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Quality Assurance:
Work with quality control team, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Implement measures to identify & rectify defects early in the process.
Productivity Enhancement:
Evaluate current production processes and implement changes to enhance overall productivity.
Introduce and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve production efficiency.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback from the production team and implementing changes based on insights gained.
Implement and maintain 5S+ Culture.
Resource Management:
Optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production goals.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Production Manager in a medium volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding and successful implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with production planning and scheduling tools.
Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding production targets.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
