Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Tax Specialist to join its Family Office Management group. Responsibilities will include payroll processing through ADP Workforce NOW, maintaining time keeping records, reviewing payroll & payroll reports for accuracy, reconciling of weekly & quarterly wage & tax reports, & maintaining accurate set up & tax filings federally, as well as in multiple states & jurisdictions. This is a client facing role in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where things change very quickly.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform pay data entry using ADP Workforce NOW
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely & accurate processing of payroll transactions.
Work with federal & state agencies to setup new client payroll accounts
Work with ADP's implementation staff to setup ew client payroll accounts
Produce payroll reports using ADP Workforce NOW
Process WC/SDI insurance payments & annual audits through internal cash system
Respond & resolve payroll questions & discrepancies in a professional, accurate & timely manner while delivering quality client service
Reconcile ADP quarterly tax returns
Maintain client files within internal electronic filings system
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or payroll
APA Certification preferred
3-5 years of knowledge of payroll processing & tax filing/depositing process
Advanced knowledge with ADP Workforce NOW
Understanding of how to import time through the ADP Time & Attendance System
Must be able to perform payroll entries, federal & state tax principles, wage & hour laws for both corporate & household type entities in multiple states
Must be able to reconcile Federal & State payroll tax returns
Understanding of state workers compensation & disability laws
