Our engineering team is collaborating with one of the leading manufacturing firms in North America, known for their expertise in the metals industry. They have engaged us to find a talented engineer to fill an opening they have for a Technical Service Engineer.
The ideal candidate for this role will play a critical role within the company by developing, maintaining, and managing partnerships with customers. This position is based at the plant but may require up to 40% travel to visit customer facilities and provide training. The success standards this position include, but are not limited to:
Being able to lead product performance investigations, determine root causes, and
resolve technical claims.
Possessing a strong comprehension of service center operations and the products being offered.
Communicating technical concepts in simple and understandable ways to both customers and the team.
Collaborating with the sales team and product and process metallurgists to develop new grades/products or processes to meet customer needs.
Collaborating with customers to solve their steel-related processing problems.
Working with technical and commercial teammates from other company divisions to support customers near the facility or in targeted markets.
