Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Planner. In this role, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing our production processes within our cGMP certified facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning and scheduling within the food or dietary supplement industry.

Essential Functions:

The Production Planner is responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking of inventory and workflow through the production facility.
• Communicate directly with the operations manager and production supervisor to efficiently plan resources required to effectively maintain established finished goods inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, ensuring efficient resource utilization and on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and company quality standards throughout the production planning and scheduling processes.
• Use data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
• Monitor inventory levels and raw material availability to prevent shortages or overages.
• Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes.
• Create and distribute the weekly floor schedule to the production team.
• Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to address any deviations or non-conformances in the production process.
• Follow-up as required with teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
• Monitor production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
• Review and process completed batch records in the ERP system.

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• CPIM certification preferred.
• Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a cGMP certified food or dietary supplement manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and quality standards.
• Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft office products; strong computer skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize to meet strict deadlines.
• Able to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.

Work Environment:

May require working occasional overtime-flexibility of schedule as needed with short notice. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, reach overhead, bend, and stoop throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
