Job Description

Position Purpose: This is a "Hands On" engineering position that requires the skills and practices to maintain an optimized floor layout in a growing and expanding manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Create and maintain a building master plan for plant.
  • Manage relocation and validation of equipment.
  • Own global process FMEA from raw material delivery through finished goods shipment.
  • Know and apply the usual tools of Methods and Lean (time studies, standards, Red/Green, VSM Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.).
  • Ensure consistent use of the standard across plant (training, support).
  • Continuous Improvement - Kanban, value stream mapping, improve and automate flow.
  • Brings Methods expertise to various departments for improvement and problem-solving activities in the project and/or working groups in which involved.
  • Create, optimize, and update the production standards: ranges/forms methods, times, ranges, and nomenclatures in the integrated management software.
  • Make proposals for improving productivity in consultation with the service managers and participate in the implementation of the actions decided.
  • Make proposals for improving the organization and ergonomics of workstations. In consultation with the purchasing department, consult, and select suppliers to provide the necessary equipment. Receive and set up the chosen equipment.
  • Identify sources of accident risk and environmental non-compliance. Proposes and implements improvements to remove them.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in CAD & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel between office and production departments as well as company buildings.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Experience in flow analysis and floor layout.
  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Works in an office andclean manufacturingenvironment that may include moderate noise levelsand required appropriate PPE and cleanroom apparel.
  • Up to 10% travel required (potentially international).
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field
