Position: Senior Buyer
As a Senior Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement process by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials for the Company's global operation. You will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement activities align with the company's goals and objectives, while also maintaining efficient and cost-effective purchasing procedures. As Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the purchasing of materials and goods required, ensuring on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction. The primary objective is to identify and obtain the products and services that must be obtained externally as well as through inter-company transfer.
Responsibilities may include:
Manage and develop key suppliers to ensure optimal quality, delivery at the lowest cost in accordance with corporate policies and objectives
Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring their performance and escalating any issues that may arise
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions
Monitor and evaluate supplier's overall performance; advise appropriate personnel of impending supplier failure to fulfill contractual agreements that may delay production or delivery
Award and administer purchase orders and agreements in accordance with established company policies and procedures
Make purchasing decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations
Resolve shipment quality discrepancies by mediating supplier/manufacturing issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their purchasing requirements and provide procurement solutions that meet their needs
Maintain adequate and satisfactory inventory levels using daily and weekly MRP data
Minimize production shortages through buying to MRP needs and tactical review of demand
Analyze material requirements and inventory in order to maintain on-time delivery and targeted inventory levels
Oversee and maintain inventory; analyze key inventory control measures to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Analyze quotations received, select or recommend suppliers and schedules deliveries
Resolve problem situations related to selection of source, price, deliveries, specifications, quality and other terms with suppliers and functional internal departments
Evaluate and assess risks as it relates to capacity, rate, and readiness of supply base
Evaluate and ensure vendor materials, products, and service conform to company standards
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy resulting in meeting functional KPIs and improve levels of service to internal and external customers
Support engineering, production, accounting, sales and quality with new projects or problems
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within department.

Experience/Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials or Logistics Management
