ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Maintenance Reliability Manager supports the plant leadership teams to maintain and improve performance of the company's physical assets and maintenance systems to achieve plant performance goals. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the annual strategic objectives of the Maintenance organization. This position requires considerable interaction with plant employees, leadership team, engineering, corporate functional leadership, external support, and contractors. This role reports to the Director of Maintenance.
Provides strategic ownership of the Reliability and Maintenance programs.
Supports strategic maintenance and troubleshooting of plant manufacturing equipment and facilities.
Drives improvement of maintenance and reliability performance/work processes using KPIs.
Implements spare parts inventory program to guarantee an appropriate stock level of maintenance parts and supplies. Supports the shared availability to high value spare parts.
Reviews and optimizes equipment maintenance strategies for process equipment, inspection, preventive, predictive and condition monitoring strategies.
Facilitates root cause analysis for significant or repeat equipment failures and implements improvements to eliminate recurrence.
Analyzes CMMS data to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Provides reliability and maintenance input on capital projects to guide the project team on reliability, maintainability, and standardization of the equipment.
Reviews CMMS data and equipment documentation and ensures accuracy, and completeness of the dataset and the consistent formatting.
Determines capital equipment needs & development of the budget process for equipment, training, and equipment installation projects.
Utilizes TPM to drive continuous improvement across production and maintenance groups.
Facilitates training and rapid improvement events to drive continuous improvement and share best practices across the organization.
Manages, develops, and motivates maintenance teams in assigned region.
Ensures compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
Effectively communicates throughout all levels of the organization.
Plans preventative maintenance project operations, and establishes priorities.
Completes special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE
Minimum Education and Experience
High School Diploma - Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering - Preferred
Minimum of 7 years in Maintenance/ Reliability/ Engineering role - Preferred
Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance management role in a manufacturing facility - Required
Minimum Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Excellent math, oral/written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of spare parts inventory and purchasing processes.
Proficient with word processing, cross tab (spreadsheet), CMMS, database, and ERP software such as MS Excel, MS Access, Concur, Nulogy, Dynamics 365.
Ability to follow rules and work procedures.
Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing and proofreading.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to efficiently manage workload.
Ability to learn new software systems and tasks quickly.
Ability to adapt to changing conditions, operational needs, and internal customer requirements.
