We are seeking a full-time Pricing Analyst to assist the accounting department in Stow, OH. The company has been in business since 1970.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends
Analyze sales trends
Apply statistical modeling techniques to develop measurement tools including the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability
Prepare forecasts of revenue and market share
Interact with the sales team
Maintain pricing structures in ERP software, including new programs and pricing updates
Research pricing issues
Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
Report to upper management on stock levels, issues, etc.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
Other duties as needed
Summary: The purpose of the Pricing & Inventory Analyst position will be to perform analysis of market conditions, pricing from vendors, and provide analysis and recommendations to team members regarding pricing strategies. This position will also monitor sales patterns and inventory levels to ensure proper inventory levels to meet customer demands. This position will be an integral part of our growing organization. This position requires strong attention to detail.
The Pricing Analyst must project a positive image to customers, vendors, and internal team members while adhering to policies, procedures, and expectations in the fast-paced and changing conditions of the role and market.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field
Minimum five years Sales/Pricing Analytics, preferably in distribution
Excellent working knowledge of Excel
Experience with statistical methods and data analysis
Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop dynamic pricing tools
Ability to work within, and contribute to a strong teamwork ethic
Organized and able to manage their work effectively
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21 a plus)
