About the Role:
  • The Material Planner ensures parts and material are provided for efficient airline operations at the company. As an individual contributor, this role focuses material forecasting, demand planning, and procurement actions in support of Maintenance and Engineering..

Job Title: Materials Planner

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determines stocking levels for expendable, repairable and rotable parts based on analysis of average monthly usage, historical demand, and future requirements.
  • Manages material in support of Line Maintenance, Engineering projects or Heavy Maintenance visits.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Programs, Records, and Engineering to ensure proper processes and controls are in place to maintain a compliant material program.
  • Analyzes order points, forecasts demand trends, validates economic order quantities, and forwards electronic requisitions to purchasing.
  • Processes rotable and repairable scrap transactions and monitors out-of-stock alerts to expedite parts to meet location requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • A self-starter with good follow-through skills and the ability to work well with others/various groups.
  • Excellent communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with inventory control, purchasing, stores, and accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of FAA and ASA standards as they apply to component repair.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to collect, organize, and analyze data, to summarize findings, and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources with customers and/or vendors.
  • 737 and/or A320 Aircraft Parts knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Tableau knowledge is a plus.

Location: Seattle, WA

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $60,000 - $70,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
