Job Description:

Essential Functions:

The Procurement Manager will provide functional leadership for all procurement functions throughout JC Ford including, tactical and MRO purchasing, strategic sourcing, and supplier management. The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing a high-performing team and driving procurement excellence to help accelerate continuous improvement and growth.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Lead and improve procurement to reduce lead times and improve material margins, utilizing processes such as, but not limited to, LTA's, stocking and Kanban agreements, dual, and strategic sourcing.
• Lead and improve material/inventory management best practices including Plan for Every Part (PFEP)., ABC Analysis, Purchasing Methods (PO and Blanket), and Advance Replenishment Methods (MRP, Stocking Programs, VMI, Consignment, Re-Order Point and Direct Pull), etc.
• Leads initiative to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operations to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies.
• MRP/ERP process documentation and enablement across all functions within the organization.
• Drive alignment between changing operational needs and capabilities with our business system (ERP) to ensure optimal performance.
• Assists in new processes and/or procedural development and enhancements. Generates ideas and initiates action to solve problems and continuously improve.
• Must comply with the company safety procedures, attendance, and punctuality policies, arriving to work every day on time and leading by example.
• Develops and maintains transparent and clear communications to the supply base.
• Provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism including mutual trust and respect for all company team members.
• Must be able to coach and train employees, issue corrective action when required, and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team environment; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and team commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• APICS or similar certification desirable

Experience and Background:
• 5+ years of procurement leadership, preferably responsible for raw materials, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components, with a background in strategic sourcing.
• Expertise utilizing MRP/ERP systems- preferably Traverse.
• Strong negotiation skills are highly preferred.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
• Data analysis, strategic global sourcing, and contract management concepts.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.
• Possess the ability to drive for results, hold self and team accountable, and continuously improve.

Physical Requirements

The job function is a combination of the production floor, warehouse, and office environments.
