APEX Placement has partnered with a local plastics manufacturing company in Auburn Hills looking to add an Automation Engineer to their already amazing team! The ideal candidate will possess the ability to diagnose, identify root causes, and rectify plant issues related to automation, robotics, and maintenance, along with effectively communicating findings and providing training to others in repair procedures.

What your day will look like:
Diagnose and troubleshoot various robot cells
Program new products into existing cells
Interface with customers to address their needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel
Ability to work independently with attention to detail
Manage automation/equipment projects including preparation of project descriptions and specifications, vendor selection, and coordination of activities
Enhance reliability and performance of production equipment
Experience in projects for automotive suppliers and automation systems concept development
Familiarity with different automated assembly methods
What we are looking for:
5-8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to interpret PLC and electrical prints
Experience with injection molding machines and robotic controls
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Proficiency in mathematical tools for business case assessments
Preferred experience in plastics and robotics, PLC/Vision programming
