Wholesale Lending Services (WLS), an area within the Commercial Bank (CB), provides a controlled, efficient environment for executing the bank's syndicated loan business in a client focused and cost effective manner. Delaware Wholesale Loan Ops is the component within the broader organization that focuses on providing operational support for the many businesses involved with the syndicated loan product. This includes but is not limited to credit trading, IB Risk and Syndicated and Leveraged Finance, all of which have a global presence and are supported out of the Delaware Operations hub.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the servicing of complex and non-standard loan products that require extra diligence and critical thinking.
Communicate frequently with the various front and middle offices to ensure seamless support of the business.
Work closely with Financial and Product control to ensure accurate reflection of month end income/P&L.
Action all scheduled and unscheduled loan activity on a daily basis.
Monitor and investigate cash and other exceptions such as past due loans, payable & receivable balances, and other items that pose financial risk to the firm.
Action all scheduled and unscheduled loan activity on a daily basis.
Reconciliation of reporting, making sure internal matches external, reviewing documentation for processing (cash repayments, etc.)
Support the servicing of complex and non-standard loan products that require extra diligence and critical thinking as opposed to traditional loan maintenance.
Monitor and investigate cash and other exceptions such as past due loans, payable & receivable balances, and reference data breaks.
Communicate frequently with the various front and middle offices to ensure seamless support of the business.
Work closely with Financial and Product control to ensure accurate reflection of month end income/P&L.
Participate in the development of technology enhancements and fixes as well as the associated UAT testing needed to properly implement in the production environment.
Participate in the drafting of New Business Initiative Agreements by attending calls and meetings with the respective business sponsors and providing key information from an operational support perspective.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of experience in Financial Services/Banking
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel: Pivot Tables, ability to analyze large data sets)
Knowledge of Commercial OR Corporate Loan products -OR- trading operations is a PLUS
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business (or any Tech-related discipline)
