Binaytara Foundation is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as the Director of Development. This role will play a pivotal part in driving the foundation's fundraising efforts by cultivating and stewarding relationships with potential donors, managing a dynamic portfolio of 100+ prospects, and implementing effective moves management strategies. The role calls for a true development generalist who can run with multiple opportunities while leading the charge on major gift development within the assigned portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect Management: Manage a portfolio of 100+ prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, to identify their affinity and capacity for giving to the foundation.
Moves Management: Develop and implement a strategic moves management process to move prospects through the donor pipeline, from cultivation to solicitation and stewardship.
Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with donors and prospects through personalized communication, meetings, events, and other engagement opportunities.
Conference Fundraising: Leverage foundation-hosted conferences and events as opportunities to cultivate relationships, acquire new donors, and enhance existing donor engagement. The Director of Development will be expected to travel between 10-15% to represent BTF at identified conferences and events.
Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the foundation's mission and goals.
Donor Stewardship: Ensure timely and meaningful stewardship of donors, including acknowledgment of contributions, regular updates on the impact of their support, and recognition opportunities.
Reporting and Metrics: Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, track fundraising progress, and prepare regular reports for the executive team and board of directors.
Mission Alignment: Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and work of Binaytara Foundation, embodying the organization's values in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related field.
Proven track record of success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Experience managing a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to think creatively and seize opportunities.
High level of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
Passion for the work and mission of Binaytara Foundation, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on global healthcare.
Experience in using CRM databases with a strong preference for experience
with Salesforce.
Experience working in local or global healthcare and/or with doctors or grateful patient programs a plus.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills a plus.
