Location: Lansing, MI - (Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant)
Must Haves:
3+ years as an Industrial Engineer or related role within a manufacturing plant environment
Background in supporting general assembly production
Knowledgeable on continuous improvement, problem solving on a plant floor and ergonomics
Experience identifying bottlenecks and tracking them
Experience doing time studies/cycle times
Plusses:
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering
Previous GM experience, familiarity with APS (internal GM database for standardized work)
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for Industrial Engineers for a large automotive client in Lansing, MI. As a Industrial Engineer you will be addressing production issues alongside quality, manufacturing, and maintenance teams. You will be working in a plant floor environment supporting the process of new parts being brought in for a model year change vehicle launch.
