nVenia has an open position for a Senior Buyer. As a leading player in the machining industry, we're seeking a senior buyer to join our dynamic team. Your expertise in the machining industry will be essential in maintaining efficient supply chains and supporting our production operations. If you are passionate about sourcing quality materials and optimizing supply chains, this role is for you.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Timely review of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) suggestions to identify production and service/aftermarket requirements and take appropriate action.
  • Plans, schedules, releases, and manages purchase orders in the company's ERP system and ensures system integrity by maintaining accurate delivery dates.
  • Monitors supplier deliveries to ensure continuity of supply to production and service/aftermarket demand.
  • Proactively identifies continuity of supply risks and proposes appropriate mitigation activities to minimize impact to the organization.
  • Partners with Engineering to identify substitute products for long-term supply constraints.
  • Negotiates with suppliers to receive the best possible pricing and commercial terms and develops a cost savings funnel to achieve productivity goals annually.
  • Source selection and award of direct and indirect materials and services in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, Engineering and Operations teams.

  • Manage inventory as an asset by taking appropriate action to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate or bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with lean concepts and tools (JIT, Kan Ban, etc.)
  • APICS certification preferred (CPIM or CSCP).
