Here is a glimpse of what you'll do
Manage and lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for skill development.
Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
Collaborate with senior management to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps success.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle and operations processes.
Drive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Evaluate, implement, and manage DevOps tools that enhance productivity and efficiency, such as configuration management, containerization, orchestration, and monitoring tools.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure that DevOps practices adhere to organizational security policies and compliance requirements.
Define and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-incident reviews, and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
Here is some of what you'll need (required)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a DevOps or related role, with at least 4+ years in a managerial capacity.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD practices, and agile principles.
Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Demonstrated experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience with implementing and managing DevOps toolchains and monitoring solutions.
Deep knowledge of security best practices and the ability to integrate them into the DevOps process.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent, are a plus.
Master's degree preferred.
