Here is a glimpse of what you'll do

  • Manage and lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for skill development.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps success.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle and operations processes.
  • Drive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage DevOps tools that enhance productivity and efficiency, such as configuration management, containerization, orchestration, and monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure that DevOps practices adhere to organizational security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Define and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-incident reviews, and implement improvements based on lessons learned.

Here is some of what you'll need (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a DevOps or related role, with at least 4+ years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD practices, and agile principles.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Demonstrated experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience with implementing and managing DevOps toolchains and monitoring solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of security best practices and the ability to integrate them into the DevOps process.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent, are a plus.
  • Master's degree preferred.
