As a Global Supply Chain Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Support: Assist with the procurement process, including vendor research/set-up, soliciting quotes, and executing purchase orders.
Vendor Communication: Communicate with suppliers to track order status, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Logistics Coordination: Support logistics activities, including shipment tracking, customs clearance, and transportation coordination.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
Data Entry/Analysis: Data input and cleansing. Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement, logistics, and inventory management activities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including purchasing, operations, and finance, to support supply chain initiatives and projects.
Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned by the Global Supply Chain Manager or other members of the supply chain team.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in supply chain management, business logistics, accounting or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the supply chain team.
