This position is responsible for estimating all costs and commercial strategies including material and labor for all construction including millwork, framing, drywall, and many other trades. Responsibilities
Compose customer proposals, inc. scope, price, clarifications, and exclusions
Verify QTO's and prepare pre-bid RFI's
Ensure consistent documentation across all types of work
Lead management review meetings prior to bid submission
Vet proposals from subcontractors, vendors and other trades to meet project requirements
Accurately level all bids
Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients and trade partners
Point of contact for post-bid, pre-award activities; internal and external
Lead hand-over meeting to operations team
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction
Specific knowledge in framing, drywall finish, and millwork scopes.
Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, building science or equivalent work experience.
Proficient in MS Office Suites & Bluebeam; proficiency in Airtable & PlanSwift is a plus
Proficiency in reading and reviewing commercial construction plans and specifications
Experience working with estimators and engineers with an ability to value engineer
Strong construction management knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with superior negotiation ability
Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating estimates performed by others
Experience in accounting, finance, business, economics is a plus
