LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading healthcare organization based in the northern suburbs of Illinois. Our client is looking for an Interim Category Manager, Professional Services to join their headquarters. The right professional will have prior experience overseeing category management through supplier sourcing, competitive negotiations and strategic vendor relations.
Interim Category Manager, Professional Services Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for HR, Marketing, Professional Services and more to optimize costs and improve supplier relationships
Lead a team of procurement professionals to execute procurement initiatives effectively and efficiently
Collaborate with key stakeholders within the organization to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies with business objectives
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality services and cost savings
Monitor market trends and best practices to stay up to date with industry developments and apply this knowledge to procurement activities
Analyze data and KPIs to measure and report on procurement performance, cost savings and other relevant metrics
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies in all procurement activities
Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and engage in benchmarking activities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department
Interim Category Manager, Professional Services Requirements:
7+ years of procurement experience within category management
Bachelor's degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management or related field is required
ERP experience required
