With a stellar reputation and an exceptional team, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator to join and contribute to the continued success of our client. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing the Estimating Department, allowing the company to undertake larger and more complex projects.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Estimator with 10-15 years of experience in Commercial Interior Renovation. The ideal candidate will be a cultural fit for our client, embodying strong work ethics and a dedication to reinforcing the staff. This individual will lead the Estimating Department, bringing valuable experience in bidding for office renovation, retail, education, landlord work, and hospitality projects. Leadership skills are essential, with at least five years of experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to mentor and guide the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Estimating Department in bidding for a variety of projects, including office renovation, retail, education, landlord work, and hospitality.
Demonstrate expertise in successfully bidding and being awarded Lump Sum projects as well as Construction Management projects.
Utilise 10-15 years of experience to prepare conceptual budgets quickly and accurately for projects ranging from smaller maintenance tasks to single projects up to $30MM.
Act as a positive role model and mentor for new staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the department.
Report directly to the Executive Committee, providing valuable insights and assisting in the creation of new policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
10-15 years of experience in Commercial Interior Renovation.
Proven track record of successfully bidding and being awarded projects of varying sizes, including projects up to $30MM.
Leadership experience with at least five years in a managerial role.
Strong conceptual budgeting skills and experience with both Lump Sum and Construction Management projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the Executive Committee and mentor new staff.
Comfortable working full time and 100% in the office, located in midtown Manhattan.
