A global asset management firm that invests in multiple asset classes and strategies worldwide has a new role that will be responsible for leading a small team for the seamless operation, reliability, and efficiency of high-frequency trading applications.
The successful candidate will become part of a global team dedicated to providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across crucial applications for front office, middle office, and back office technology. Exceptional technical proficiency, along with an unwavering commitment to client service and operational excellence, are required for this role.
Responsibilities
Lead the support of high frequency trading platforms and applications ensuring seamless operation
Address critical production issues by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving, and analyzing incidents to identify root causes
Work with technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to prioritize and address application-related issues and enhancements
Collaborate with infrastructure and software engineering teams to offer guidance on operational design
Build automation tools to manage and monitor infrastructure services and applications
Improve the reliability, availability and performance of infrastructure and infrastructure related applications
Define and improve internal team standards and processes
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in application support or related technical positions within the financial services industry, specializing in high-frequency trading
Expertise supporting large scale high-performance distributed applications including trading systems, order management systems, market data platforms, etc
Demonstrated history of successfully automating production systems and integrating third-party products
Proficiency in Python programming and Linux platform components: file systems, processes, memory, networking, etc.
Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including knowledge of network capture and packet analysis tools
