Redstone Commodity Search are working with an International Producer and Manufacturer of aluminium and non-ferrous metals looking to hire an Industrial Buyer of Aluminium Scrap to join their team based in Alabama.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Maintain and develop the list of industrial and commercial accounts purchasing scrap aluminium while optimizing profit.
Utilising industry events and contacts to stay well connected within the scrap metal market and identify new opportunities and enhancing strategy to action loss prevention.
Developing pricing for accounts based on the current market conditions.
Ensuring shipments and documentation of shipments are timely and accurate through coordination with the logistics and trading teams.
Role reports to Business Unit Manager.
Key Qualifications / Experience
At least 5 years of experience buying aluminium scrap metal, with knowledge of relevant products (such as cast, wire, sheet, cable).
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferable.
A current portfolio of industry contacts which can be transferred and developed is ideal.
Experience with yard operations and utilizing information to advise pricing decisions is needed.
Role is to be based in Moulton, Alabama, remote is possible.
