Scope of Responsibility
Join us as a Technical Plant Manager at Noble Polymers. This position will be overseeing operations within the Noble Polymers business unit. The Plant Manager will lead the effort towards safe, effective and efficient utilization of all the plant's employees, resources, and physical facilities to achieve desired results of quality, low cost product with on time delivery in accordance with policies, principles, and established procedures. This individual ensures a fair and consistent work environment while fostering a team environment in the plant. This leader is a working manager role and will help with running the equipment in addition to directing operations aimed at optimizing and maintaining extrusion production processing, material compounding, and troubleshooting, with a focus on sustainable/environmental material development. This person will be in charge of supervising, training, and developing all operational people, as well as assisting production, material development, and mold tryouts in the business unit.

What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Management - Deliver on established Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) and improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness. Plan production to meet customer demands while maintaining high product quality. Provides input towards and supports adherence to annual fiscal year financial plan for assigned areas of responsibilities. Responsible for capital budgeting and planning as well as the development of strategic plans for future capital requirements. Lead and coordinate activities with appropriate team members to ensure that manufacturing objectives for internal and external customers are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner. Provides leadership and support for new launches and the achievement of company goals and objectives. Provide customer satisfaction while promoting growth & a team based environment.
Staffing, Development & Retention - Coach and mentor new and existing employees, create a team environment that emphasizes inclusiveness and accountability. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Incorporate the company's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; promoting the Cascade Engineering culture and commitment to the Triple Bottom Line of people, planet, profit. Responsible for people development and succession planning.
Safety Mindset - Ensures the plant maintains a high degree of safety and housekeeping practices and standards. Maintain company Health and Safety standards including PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.).
Quality & Delivery - Assures compliance to ISO14001 quality and environmental standards through consistent execution of policies, procedures, and work instructions. Responsible for the plant quality system, assures resources are available to maintain the quality system. Participates in initiatives to go from defect prevention versus defect detection. Responsible for customer satisfaction, including quality and on-time delivery.
Cost & Continuous Improvement - Establish and meets goals for continuous improvement in all areas of the plant. Drives continuous improvement activities such as defining capital investments or process improvements needed to achieve faster line rate. Define and lead process development innovations. Optimize workstation layout for maximum efficiency and ergonomics, ensure workstation has proper tools. Emphasize and show commitment to continuous improvement by eliminating variation in the production process, and implementation of improvements. Supports the implementation of lean methodologies. Participate or lead root cause problem solving activities. Leads rapid improvement events, projects, A 3's, and other continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.
