WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Learning and Development Program Manager is responsible for executing talent development and organizational development programs that will aid in creating an engaging employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. Focusing on the company's culture, vision, purpose, promise and principles, the Program Manager will continuously work with the Director of Learning and Development to analyze the organization's needs to ensure the learning programs are aligned with the business goals while providing employees a path for continuous learning, development, and growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the overall design, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of select learning and development initiatives and programs with the goal of improving business results and employee development.
  • Owns the creation, development, execution, and continuous improvement of key Learning & Development programming to include but not limited to Train the Trainer program, Customer Service score custom interventions, maintain Company Knowledge Base, Compliance partnership, Lunch and Learns, and Departmental Training Program Documentation initiatives.
  • Departmental Training Program Documentation initiatives include but are not limited to new hire training analysis and program design including position-specific training materials, job aids, decks, assessments, and training manuals.
  • Work with key leaders across the organization to continuously monitor, analyze, evaluate, and modify the learning programs within the designated scope.
  • Creatively design and deliver onboarding, career pathing and leadership development programs for employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Evaluate current programs for effectiveness and relevancy and develop a roadmap for iteration, deprecation and/or creation of future programs.
  • Raise the bar on our training experiences by measuring the impact and seeking end-user feedback to determine areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate and support the team on a variety of programs as well as work independently in developing learning strategies and solutions to support managers and leaders.
  • Act as back-up for Learning & Development Specialists in key responsibilities such as New Hire Orientation, Customer Service Departmental Training and Yes& Academy core programming facilitation.
  • In partnership with the Director, consult with leaders across the organization by supporting development and learning needs while building productive relationships and collaborating effectively.
  • Work with department leaders to tailor classes for their team needs in order to deliver a customized and relevant training. Evaluate learner needs and desired outcomes, propose solutions, and support the consistent development of identified areas of opportunity. Create related handouts, job aids, and training evaluations to help assess the success of the session and learning transfer.
  • Works to develop and facilitate company core curriculum via the Yes& Academy and Yes& Academy learning management system.
  • Utilize Adult Learning Theory and instructional design models and processes for planning, designing, and creating materials for the Yes& Academy.
  • Develops, in conjunction with Learning & Development team and Operational leaders, technical job skills and customer service training.
  • Assists in overseeing and continuously developing company Leadership Development programs, including Next Generation Leadership, Master Manager and the annual Leadership Conference.
  • Functions as an internal consultant to assist management in the analysis and identification of organizational issues and development. When outcomes require Learning & Development support, recommends appropriate learning solution(s).
  • Responsible for individual project management of multiple, large-scale projects, establishing and meeting timelines, attention-to-detail and follow-through.
  • Manage and continuously develop Learning & Development Specialists.
  • Assist Director of Learning and Development with any additional Learning & Development initiatives or projects not listed above.
  • The right candidate will have a demonstrated track record in process creation, improving upon existing processes, and ongoing program / project management.
  • The successful candidate must have experience in managing multiple programs and projects at once, must be comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and relish the challenge of working in a fast-paced, multi-industry environment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, or related field and at least 5 years of training & facilitation experience (or an equivalent combination of training, education and professional experience).
  • At least a minimum of three years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning that includes instructor led, classroom, and on the job approaches that achieve measurable results.
  • Knowledge and experience with managing training programs.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills (both oral and written) are mandatory.
  • Flexibility and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to conduct training in an in-person setting or virtual environment.
  • Knowledge and use of Standard English, correct grammar and ability to edit detailed documents.
  • Well-versed in Adult Learning Theory and how to engage adult learners using a variety of activities.
  • Proficient with training needs assessment, creative instructional design, and measuring outcomes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software to include Sharepoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with training design software, authoring tools, Learning Management Systems, and other learning technologies to embed learning strategies.
  • Both strategic and execution-oriented - happy to be "hands-on" in all aspects of talent development work.

LOCATION

Las Vegas, NV. This is not a remote position.

REVENUE/BUDGETARY/STAFF RESPONSIBILITY

Under the supervision of the Director, this position is responsible for staying within the given budget for any training related expenses that may arise.
