The Coordinator of Student Accounts is responsible for maintaining student accounts, processing payments from a variety of sources to those accounts, and processing reports in connection with student accounts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage all aspects of student accounts.
Provide service to student inquiring about their accounts.
Operate a cash drawer, issue receipts, and make change as necessary.
Balance cash drawer and make deposits.
Prepare daily cash receipt report.
Maintaining and reconciling the petty cash fund.
Process refunds to student accounts, including PELL, SEOG, Hope, and TSAC.
Manage Dual Enrollment and Athletic awards.
Process student purges.
Responsible for collecting and processing parking tickets.
Responsible for inventory of gate tickets and forms relevant to all athletic activities and games.
Audit gate and concession reports and balance to cash advances and sales.
Responsible for the implementation of new computerized systems or upgrades in fee payment, cash receipting and accounts receivables as necessary in order to ensure Cleveland State is technologically advanced with other TBR institutions.
Assists with various other office functions.
Performs other work as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of the application of bookkeeping and accounting principles and methods as they pertain to processing payments and receipts.
Strong communication skills necessary for reading, understanding and explaining policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills consistent with maintaining effective working relationships, while maintaining confidentiality and flexibility.
Operate office equipment such as computers, printers, credit-card machines, etc..
Perform mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately.
Maintain up-to-date files.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Promote, participate in and support student recruitment and retention efforts.
Serve on various campus committees.
JOB STANDARDS/QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree required from an accredited college or university.
Two years of related work experience required.
JOB LOCATION
The Accounting Services Department located on the main campus of Cleveland State Community College is the primary workplace.
EQUIPMENT STANDARDS
Work activities routinely involve work personal computers, scanners, and peripheral devices including printers, copiers, multi-line telephones, and credit-card machines.
