I am working with a top rated and well reputed mid-sized NYC law firm who is looking to add a talented associate to their Litigation Practice Group. The ideal Coverage and Litigation Associate candidates will have 3+ years of experience in insurance law matters, coverage analysis and litigation.
There is a hybrid work schedule at this wonderful firm known for its mentorship and teaching environment where partners and associates work in a collaborative manner.
Core Responsibilities:
-Handling a caseload of litigation matters with autonomy and direct contact with clients;
-Providing insurance policy analysis;
-Preparing coverage analysis opinions, providing coverage recommendations, and drafting reservations and disclaimers;
-Drafting memos and briefs;
-Overseeing extensive document exchange; and
-Making court appearances to argue motions and attend preliminary trial and settlement conferences
Requirements:
-Superior academic credentials from a top tier law school;
-Excellent writing and analytical skills;
-Team-player mentality;
-Admitted and in good standing with the New York State Bar Association;
-Ability to assume substantial responsibility; and
-Law review experience and/or judicial clerkship experience are a plus.
The salary for this role is up to $250,000, depending on factors including, but not limited to, class year and relevant experience.
