We are seeking a dedicated TelephoneTriage Nurse (RN) to join one of our partnered hospital systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient care needs through inbound and outbound telephone practice. Continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education, and advanced problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
Actively manage patients' immediate & ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention.
Inbound calls: Patients may present a vast amount of questions, needs and requests to our nurse line in need of advise on symptom management.
Outbound calls: Include getting back with patient questions, relay test results, directives from doctor, talking to pharmacies, education, process for medication refill, responding to patient emails.
Requirements:
IL Registered Nurse License
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 2 years of Office nurse/call center nurse experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
BLS/CPR certification required.
Additional Information:
Shift hours -
Monday - Friday
8 hr shifts (Days) 8:30a - 5:00p
40hr/week
2 Saturdays per month
Pay -
$32 - $52/hr
(Varies based on years of experience)
