Intern - Software Engineer at Coherent Corp. in Easton, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Architect the entire application, within the dictated stack constraints.
• Develop each component of the stack.
• Maintain good version control and code standards.
• Write good documentation regarding the application's architecture, API endpoints, and usage patterns.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• 1 year experience in the following technologies would be a plus
  
  
  • Database: SQL
  • Backend: Python and some web framework (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc...)
  • API: REST
  • Frontend: React
  • Version control: Git
  
  

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Primarily office work on a computer. Occasional light tasks on the factory floor is possible.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sustainably work on a computer full-time.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks on factory equipment.
