OEM Technical Business Development Manager at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description:

As an OEM Technical Business Development Manager, you will support Automotive Refinish profit and growth goals, deliver specific sales goals by managing the current customer base and securing new ones, managing receivables and expenses within required targets. You will focus on the OEM market segments. An experienced sales associate with a proven track record of developing new business and maintaining existing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a plan to grow PPG sales and profitability with OEM customers.


• Communicate with multiple customer personnel to promote PPG, gain approvals, and position PPG to be considered for new business in the US.


• Understand PPG's product portfolio and benefits to ensure value selling.


• Understand the competitive landscape, current gaps and anticipate future gaps to improve PPG's market position.


• Maintain a progressive professional image to the customer to enhance PPG's sales position.


• Manage to create new business and to ensure repeat business by promoting the account.


• Supply exceptional service, and by settling complaints promptly and equitably.


• Develop continued acceptance and recognition of PPG products as "World Class.

• Business degree or equivalent experience.


• Prior 3-5 years sales experience is desirable.


• Willingness to travel.
