Optima Solutions Sales Consultant at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Troy, Michigan

Job Description:

As an Optima Solutions Sales Consultant you will deliver custom solutions to our Automotive customers offered within the Optima Solutions portfolio: indirect products (solvents, water treatment, biocides, etc.), services (including CPP, CPU and mix room management), turnkey solutions and cross selling One PPG products, pilot programs, and digital analytic in sites programs.

You may work remotely within the US and will travel to meet with customers as needed. You will report to the Optima Solutions Regional Business Development Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the pipeline to deliver on the sales plan for Optima Solutions across the Southern and Western US to achieve accelerated growth.


• Work together with the Account Manager, Optima Service Organization and customers to identify and propose solutions or develop new solutions across our Optima Solutions product range.


• Put together the sales pitch based on the customer needs.


• Drive value creation/value capture and propose novel solutions based on the customers' needs.


• Work with the customer and sales team to negotiate the final packages solution and offer.


• Lead and coordinate internal and external teams to execute and deliver on the final agreed offer.


• Develop relationships with customers and contacts, build networks, collaborate with and coordinate with diverse internal and external teams.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS OR equivalent combination of experience, training, and automotive industry knowledge.


• 5+ years combination of related sales experience in Automotive OEM/Tier1, or first-hand experience within automotive coatings and operations, or Automotive Plant Manufacturing experience.


• Customer-Centric accountability and client-focused problem solving.


• Solid understanding of the Optima Solutions product offering with a focus on the digital component.


• Demonstrated history of driving the sales process from plan to close.


• Good project management skills.


• Travel as needed to customer locations, to corporate events, and industry related events. Potentially up to 60%.
