Maintenance Supervisor, First Shift, Maintenance

UC Health is hiring a full-time Maintenance Supervisor for the Maintenance department for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The Maintenance Department will support the Medical Centers and deliver high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology
  • preferred.
  • 3-5 years equivalent experience required; 6-10 preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and codes and regulations.

To direct Plant Operations & Maintenance personnel, schedule work activities, procure materials and supplies and maintain and improve the buildings, grounds, and equipment.


  • Directs the work activities of Plant Operations and Maintenance personnel, including HVAC, electrical, structural, mechanical, emergency maintenance, refrigeration, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and/or instrumentation.
  • Provides leadership in the resolution of maintenance problems.
  • Administer policies and procedures that relate to PO & M department activities.
  • Oversees and implements safety policies and procedures.
  • Administers preventative maintenance program.
  • Assigns work and ensures that proper records are developed.
  • Implements training programs.
  • Assists in the development of cost estimates and details of projects for equipment and building modifications and replacements.
  • Participates in the evaluation of employee performance.
  • Devises methods to increase worker productivity and reduce costs.
  • Provides input and suggestions for the reduction of energy usage.
