Our client is seeking a Healthcare Infrastructure Architect (Hands-On) in Exton, PA.


Role description


Strategic , RFP , Healthcare System, Expert - Infrastructure , EPIC , Hands- on Requirements - Epic , Cerner, Kronos - Consultants


The project aims to achieve a comprehensive assessment of its IT infrastructure, focusing on compliance with healthcare and payment card industry standards, security, particularly in cloud services, and overall performance.


Client emphasizes advanced technology solutions, including a self-hosted Epic EMR, integrated Cerner Millennium lab system, Infor Cloud for Lawson, Kronos HRM, GE PACS, Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud Services, and a robust network and security framework supported by Cisco, Dell EMC, Palo Alto, and others.


The project focuses on a thorough evaluation of Client's IT infrastructure across key domains: Networking, Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud Services, and Compliance. The aim is to assess current capacities, security measures, compliance with healthcare and payment processing regulations, and to identify strategic improvement areas.

• Inventory of OS Versions: Comprehensive listing of operating systems, versions, and patch statuses.
• IT Infrastructure Architecture Diagram: Visual representation of the IT infrastructure layout.
• Current State Assessment Report: Analysis of the existing IT infrastructure, with an emphasis on compliance and security.
• Future State Roadmap (5-Year): A strategic plan outlining IT upgrades and implementations to enhance security and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strategic Recommendations Report: Targeted improvements across networking, server management, storage, virtualization, and cloud services to meet future needs.
• Compliance and Security Assessment Report: Evaluation of HIPAA, PCI, and other regulatory standards compliance, including a focused review of cloud security.
