Primary Function of the Position
The instructional designer will be responsible for the design and content development of mission critical learning programs, including but not limited to web-based learning, instructor-led training, blended instruction solutions, and virtual sessions. Development will focus on the clinical/technical aspects of our Intuitive products and will be developed using programs like Storyline 360, Rise 360, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Deliverables such as technical product videos and online learning modules will be integrated into learning management systems and multiple delivery platforms.

Essential Job Duties


  • Project manage all phases of learning projects (analysis, design, development, project management, implementation, and evaluation).

  • Proactively communicate task and project status to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Participate in needs analysis to determine training needs within the organization.

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and capture learning content.

  • Research, recommend, and implement creative learning experiences.

  • Design and develop training content that engages learners and aligns with identified outcomes.

  • Develop/review videos, eLearning, instructor-led, blended learning, and virtual training curriculums to optimize efficacy and learner experience.

  • Collaborate with multimedia team to create or modify media assets to support instructional needs.

  • Develop eLearning, videos, instructor led, blended learning, and virtual training curriculums.

  • Conduct peer review and QA of deliverables.

  • Work with Implementation Administrator to manage deliverables through the document control, translation, implementation, and launch process.

  • Design, develop, and conduct assessments and evaluations.

  • Manage review cycles with multiple SMEs and collate and implement feedback.

  • Analyze assessment and evaluation results to drive design/development improvements.

  • Participate in the evaluation of learning content using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to drive design/development improvements.

  • Participate in identifying process improvement opportunities and development of tools and templates to improve operational and instructional design efficiencies.

  • Drive and implement instructional design methodologies across projects and deliverables.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience

  • Comprehensive e-learning and classroom design and facilitation skills

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and its application to learning solutions

  • Demonstrated application of adult learning theory, analysis tools and process, evaluation tools/models, assessment best practices, and learning objective construction

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience working with SMEs in a team environment

  • Experience managing review cycles with multiple reviewers

  • Ability to self-manage multiple development projects and deadlines and adapt to project changes

  • Ability to work with instructional design processes, tools, and templates

  • Strong attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to define and document process

  • Ability to manage large strategic projects

  • Ability to foster and create strong working relationships


Required Education and Training

  • Minimum college degree required

  • Project management tool (e.g., Smartsheet or equivalent)

  • Software proficiency required:

    • Articulate Rise 360

    • Articulate Storyline

    • Camtasia

    • MS Office (Word, Power-Point, Excel, Teams)




Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 year of experience in biotech or medical device organization preferred

  • Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or Education master's degree preferred

  • Smartsheet proficiency preferred

  • Xmind proficiency preferred

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $107,300 USD - $154,500 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $91,300 USD - $131,300 USD
Shift: Day
Travel: 10% of the time
Workplace Type: Remote - This job will be remote and/or the job is designed to be performed outside of the office. Employees will come onsite when requested by the leader.
