The Opportunity: Unit Coordinator- Medical Unit-Bigelow 14




Why This Role Is Important?



As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in patient care by serving as the central source of information by communicating with patients, families and medical staff. You will transcribe medical charts for patients to ensure that all of their medical treatments and procedures are carried out. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and strong communications skills.



Bigelow 14 Medical is a twenty-seven bed adult inpatient unit. The unit serves patients from culturally diverse backgrounds and geographic areas that present with acute and complex medical problems. Patients are generally admitted to our unit from the Emergency Department or as a transfer from one of the intensive care units.. Bigelow 14 is seeking a part-time Unit Coordinator, with Night availability, and to provide rotational holiday coverage.

Schedule

• Nights 7pm-7am


• 24 hours per week, every Friday and Saturday 7pm-7am

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred


• Medical or health care experience desirable, but willing to train otherwise qualified candidates.

• Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems
