Replace all styles and types of bulbs and clean. Identify defective components, and report to supervisor.
Proper disposal of spent lamps. The separation of mercury and non-mercury tubes; package mercury containing tubes for shipping out as hazardous waste.
Assists licensed Electrician in more complex installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems; performs preventative maintenance.
Repairs simple electric circuits and equipment such as, nurses call system components, receptacles, fire alarm system components, and pneumatic tube system components (carriers).
Read Electric meters.
Uses test equipment
Participates in various areas of emergency power testing.
Uses engraving machine to make label plates for identification of electrical equipment and receptacles.
Completes daily record of work performed.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Completion of a high school or equivalent G.E.D.
Must be able to read and understand English.
Must be respirator qualified.
Must have some mechanical ability.
Must be self motivated with strong communication skills
