Financial Analysis Advisor, Contract Optimization- Express Scripts- Hybrid at Cigna in St. Louis, Missouri

Position Summary

This role will support a team tasked with identification, analysis and execution of contract optimization opportunities. The Advisor will investigate and perform detailed analysis of value enhancement opportunities under the supervision of the Director, Strategic Planning. She or he will help coordinate and review required deliverables from cross-functional partners in Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Sales & Account Management, Legal, etc.

This role will present her or his analyses to the Director and/or Sr. Director and the core working team so that constructive feedback, learnings as well as best practices are documented. In addition to her/his own value modeling, this person will review deliverables/analyses of our cross-functional partners and assess quality/methodology as well as provide suggestions for improvements. This person will need to be innovative and strategic as it relates to document review and modeling approach.

The expectation is that this person grows into a consultative resource for the core working team and develops the skills to interact constructively with cross-functional stakeholders. This person will hold herself or himself accountable (i.e., expected to follow through proactively with requests/deliverables). The responsibilities will not be complete upon submission of a service request. Follow-up/post implementation analysis with downstream stakeholders will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, scientific or analytic discipline strongly desired(data analytics, finance, accounting, economics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc.)


• At least 3 to 8 years of related data analysis experience


• Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver value to the company


• Comfortable working with complex data sets and queries ( Excel and SQL needed and/or willingness to learn expeditiously)


• Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences/levels including leadership; ability to take a complex financial/pricing issue/problem and deconstruct it into a concise, impactful message to leaders


• Willingness to challenge the status quo and take calculated risks


• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload and meet project deadlines


• Ability to build strong relationships with peers and across the organization


• Basic understanding of the 340B Program and/or pharmaceutical manufacturer rebate process a plus.


• This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to work in person in our St. Louis, MO office
