The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the materials management and purchasing activity in their facility. This position supports the Regional Procurement team in managing the material on order and supporting the sales team. This position prepares the employee for future advancement in the procurement department, as it will provide the necessary exposure to the fundamentals of procurement and inventory management.
Primary Responsibilities
Review aged inventory reports and coordinate activity with Purchasing and Sales
Maintain monthly pricing adjustments for West region
Track mill order confirmations and update for planning purposes
Sourcing and buying to fulfill short-term material requirements
Other related activities as needed
Qualifications
1+ years of administrative and clerical experience preferred
Bachelor's degree or Associate degree required; ideally Supply Chain, Data an
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Excel skills
High degree of interest and proficiency in Data Analytics
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compensation
Starting pay targeting between $50,000 - $65,000
