Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AP Lead in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities:


  • AP Lead will process invoices and verification of transactions to ensure accuracy and timely payments to vendors and suppliers

  • Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to prevent errors and fraud in the accounts payable process

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions with general ledger balances, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues to ensure accuracy in financial statements

  • Negotiate payment terms with vendors and suppliers to optimize cash flow and maintain positive working relationships

  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement in the payment process

  • As an AP Lead, you will coordinate with procurement and receiving departments to ensure that purchase orders, receipts, and invoices are matched accurately and resolved discrepancies

  • Handle complex vendor inquiries and disputes, including resolving billing errors and negotiating adjustments or refunds to ensure fair and accurate transactions







REQUIREMENTS:



  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed

  • Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
