Job Description:

In support of a Marine Corps Systems Command customer, we are seeking a Logistics Analyst IV with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols.

Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures, systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.

The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Report directly to the Assistant Product Manager for Logistics (APdM-L);
  • Ensure APdM-L level tasks are tracked, executed, and reported;
  • Work closely with program and contractor staff in various competencies including logistics, engineering, development, and integration;
  • Serve as the remain behind element when the APdM-L is on travel to provide continuity of support on daily task;
  • Follow-up on tasks assigned to the team level Logisitics Management Specailist;
  • Gather information from various data sources (information systems and key personnel) to synthesize coherent responses to task for APdM-L review and submission;
  • Provide initial input to task assigned to the APdM-L for review;
  • Monitor, maintain, and prepare input for the APdM-L in support of the Product Manager (PdM) Risk Review, PdM Status Meetings, and other recurring meetings.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors is preferred with Fourteen (14) years of relevant experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes. Ten (10) years of direct experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.

Specific/Preferred Requirements:

  • This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance;
  • This position is not eligible for remote work or 100% telework.
  • Prior experience as a Program Executive Officer within Marine Corps Systems Command;
  • Senior level knowledge of acquisition logistics and associated Product Support Elements;
  • Experience in Acquisition Category II (ACAT), Post Milestone C, and Ground Based Air Defense;
  • Provide continuous logistics support on the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE), not limited to providing input on supply chain management, conducting ILAs, course of action, strategy, and oversight of total quality management;
  • Develops, reviews, and updates acquisition documentation, logistics plans, technical manuals/publications, and instructions for programs of record at various ACATs;
  • Have familiarization with and access to the following applicable federal logistics websites and tools to include, but not limited to:
  • Global Combat Support System Marine Corps (GCSS-MC);
  • Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS);
  • Total Life-cycle Management Operational Support Tool (TLCM-OST);
  • Technical Data Management-Publications (TDM-PUBS)
  • Web Federal Logistics Information System (Web-FLIS);
  • DLA Federal Logistics (FedLog);
  • USMC Logway (LogTool);
  • Enterprise Task Knowledge Management Software Software II (ETMS2);
  • MARCORSYSCOM Vital Information Portal for Enterprise Resources (VIPER);
  • Intel Link;.
  • Experience conducting research and data/trend analysis on weapon systems to support readiness and cost optimization;
  • Conduct assessments of documentation such as limited Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans, Material Readiness Reports, limited Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) recommendation letters, Maintenance Task Analyses (MTA), Tracking Exchange of equipment, and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) products;
  • Have familiarization with Government property accountability policy/procedures and FIAR methodology;
  • Develop, review, and update Technical Manuals;
  • Familiarization with Government property accountability policy/procedures and FIAR methodology;
  • Develop conference or meeting agendas and minutes;
  • Familiarization in the following areas is a plus:
  • An understanding of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and demonstrated ability to provide training support, including New Equipment Training and computer-based training, and all associated documentation;
  • Knowledge of Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS);
  • Warranty coordination;
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced and changing environment;
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
