Position Summary:

· Assist Supervisor with overseeing secondary packaging.

· Assist the secondary packaging shift supervisors & line technicians as needed.

· Cover for shift supervisor when they are absent from the packaging area.

· Assists with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.

· Responsible for in-process quality testing of product as required.

· Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Primary Accountabilities:

· Assist as needed with cleaning, adjustments and preventive maintenance on equipment.

· Perform emergency repairs to equipment.

· Troubleshoot problems and assist maintenance technicians with repairs as needed.

· Set up equipment in the correct configuration for the product scheduled / running to be processed.

· Document machine startup settings and be able to write descriptive reports/explanations in manufacturing maintenance log book.

· Communication to/from peers, oncoming/off-going supervisor and other Line Leads.

· Ensure packaging lines are running

· Verify all Batch Records and Lot Records to include all required signatures and or initials.

· Ensure training of new hires and any personnel involved in cross training.

· Perform administrative duties to include personnel scheduling and monitoring production lines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

· Supervisor experience required.

· Experience in secondary packaging preferred

· Must have good GMP practices

· Specific expertise, skills and knowledge within secondary packaging gained through education and experience.

· The ability to take strategic objectives and accept accountability to drive results through effective actions.

· Position requires reaching (waist to overhead), bending (waist to floor), climbing (floor to ceiling), lifting (up to 30 lbs), vision (20/20), standing (70%), gripping, talking and walking (30%). Exposed to the environmental factor of heat.

· Incumbents are required to comply with proper gowning requirements and other non-specified protective equipment as necessary.

· Computer experience: Excel, Word, Outlook

· Salary based on experience
