Job Description:

Dow Jones is looking for an Associate Director, Due Diligence Research to join our Due Diligence team responsible for the creation of high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publicly-available sources and proprietary databases. As Associate Director, Due Diligence Research, you will be responsible for managing a global team of Due Diligence Research Managers and their respective teams of Research Editors. You will work closely with your team, ensuring that our content and sources are kept up to date and that reports meet client requirements in terms of accuracy and timeliness.

The Associate Director, Due Diligence Research responsible for improving the research teams workflow, methodology and efficiency, implementing change where required to improve all the Dow Jones Due Diligence report offerings. The Associate Director, Due Diligence Research is also required to provide training/mentoring and leadership to his/her direct reports as well as to other Data Strategy research teams when necessary, and ensure that targets and deadlines are met. You will report to the Director, Risk & Compliance Services.

You Will
  • Align the global research team workflows and quality standards to ensure research consistency and optimum resource planning.
  • Accurately scope and scale report requests, assist Director R&C Services, Sales and Product with proposals including RFPs, and any custom requirements related to projects.
  • Oversee all research processes, including the development of a robust assignment workflow to ensure optimum capacity availability and to track researcher TATs to verify researchers efficiency across the global teams.
  • Have an automation mindset by initiating and driving change to existing research team workflows and methodologies to create efficiencies and quality improvements with shared benefits across the global team.
  • Be responsible for all Due Diligence report types partnering with Product and Content Strategy to enhance and improve our existing report offerings to ensure consistency and differentiation, including the additions of new add-on modules such as ESG.
  • Provide direct supervision to multiple global research teams, including coaching and mentoring, to ensure team engagement and operational success.
  • Be a key representative of the Due Diligence team in interactions with clients, particularly strategic clients, working with partners in Sales and Product.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators measuring the effectiveness and quality of the global research team.
  • Collaborate with service providers and key vendors to improve overall workflow and quality of the team's deliverables.
  • Ensure that the team is fully trained and delivers high level quality reports.
  • Assist the Director, R&C Services in global recruitment to build capacity and expertise


You Have
  • 3+ years of people management experience required
  • Relevant experience in Third-Party Due Diligence is required
  • Strong problem solving ability coupled with the ability to make decisions autonomously
