Pay Range

$95,500.00-$131,300.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Johns Manville Industrial Insulation is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Territory Market Development Manager to be based near a major airport in the Northeast US (Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, etc.) This field-based sales position will be partnered with a national specifications manager and 2 office based account managers. This team will be tasked with maximizing industrial sales in the Northeast US. This states included in this territory are ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, PA, NJ, DE, VA, MD, and WV. The successful candidate will report to the Sale Leader for Johns Manville Industrial. Johns Manville industrial insulation products are sold to distributors and fabricators servicing industrial construction and maintenance markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with distributors, contractors, engineers, and facility owners.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Maintain strategic relationships with Johns Manville industrial distributor partners.
  • Conduct regular strategic business reviews with major distributors.
  • Joint sales calls and training with distributor sales representatives.
  • Training of distributor personnel.
  • Information gathering call on non-Johns Manville distributors.
  • New distributor targeting.
  • Maintain relationships with key contractors in each major market and drive business growth at these accounts.
  • Develop and implement target account strategies.
  • Gather and share market intelligence with account manager and sales leader.
  • Partner with national specifications manager to identify key facilities and engineering relationships to develop.
  • New product introductions.
  • Support trad shows and industry association events as needed.
  • Identify growth opportunities.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of commercial construction (industrial preferred) sales experience.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time with in the Northeast Territory in company provided vehicle. Minimal travel outside territory.
  • Knowledge of construction markets. Preference for industrial construction knowledge.
  • Key account management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to grow markets.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
