Litigation Trial Paralegal at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a litigation paralegal for our client a national law firm for their downtown Dallas office. The ideal candidate must have prior trial experience and a minimum of three (3) years of paralegal experience.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



Prepare and summarize case related materials including document productions and case chronologies.


Assist with the preparation of court filings, including proofreading and assembling of exhibits and appendices; Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial.


Assist with reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria, Summarizing depositions and other transcripts.


Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation.


Prepare deposition, mediation and trial exhibits (electronically and paper form) for use by the case team.


Conduct internet research; and


Provide excellent client service to all team members.



ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:



Annual billable hour requirement - 1,400



QUALIFICATIONS




Education:



BA or BS degree strongly preferred.


Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate with a minimum of 3 years of professional services firm or in-house legal Department experience required.


Three years of professional work experience (law firm, preferred). Previous work experience in a law firm or other client service environment is a plus.



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:



Excellent PC skills, including but not limited to proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.


Experience with Adobe PRO/Nuance PDF.


Strong time management skills.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Attention to detail.


Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a team environment.


Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
