Job Summary

The Global Revenue Management Marketing Manager supports the development of revenue management strategies, policies and processes to ensure profitable growth and yield for UPS International Small Package. He/She will also serve as the subject matter expert to those who develop business requirements for pricing systems. This position supervises Marketing Analysts and Marketing Specialists.

Responsibilities

Develop Revenue Management Strategies
  • Develop strategies to meet business needs & maximize UPS's profitability & market position.
  • Review strategic recommendations with senior management to build cross-functional consensus.
  • Communicate strategies to regions and districts to explain underlying business rationale and to facilitate implementation.
  • Measure strategy results to submit balanced scorecard reporting and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with international and corporate partners
  • Advance problem solving, analytical, and technical skills (Google Cloud, DWH, OBI)
  • Analyze market conditions to ensure UPS is competitively positioned in the marketplace.
  • Identify competitive price gaps to gain additional revenue.
  • Identify opportunities to implement new charges, terms and conditions, and processes that enhance revenue to the market
  • Evaluate existing UPS rate information to discover historical trends and competitive comparisons that impact rate initiatives.
  • Develop analytical models to determine impacts of rate initiatives on revenue.
  • Develop business case documentation to establish project value propositions.
  • Provide cross-functional presentations to senior management to gain support of marketing initiatives.
  • Provide internal and external customer support (e.g., ad hoc analytics, pricing guidance, etc.) to support international marketing operations and strategic decision-making.


Performs Problem Resolution for Pricing Systems
  • Partner with international regions to identify, develop, and implement effective pricing systems resolutions.
  • Oversee pricing systems resolutions for international regions to ensure system changes are implemented.
  • Review cross-functional reports from the international regions and Information Systems group to establish timelines for pricing systems resolutions.
  • Communicate systems problems to cross-functional management teams to develop interim solutions.
  • Review pricing systems enhancements to verify changes have been completed.


Manages and Develops Others
  • Identify individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
  • Ensure that direct and indirect reports have documented career goals and detailed plans for achieving these goals to develop them personally and professionally.
  • Conduct frequent performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to facilitate open communication and encourage continuous performance improvement.
  • Hold others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
  • Resolve individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS's policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
  • Coach others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.


Preferred Competencies
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of UPS products and services.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of UPS tools, costing and pricing systems (DWH, IAS/IWA, ICLOR)
  • Pricing experience preferred
  • Must reside in Atlanta, GA


OTHER CRITERIA

Employer will not sponsor visas for position.

PAY GRADE/GRADE LEVEL: 30E

Salary Range: $93,000 - $117,000
