(Contingent upon available funding): 42,360.00 - 63,600.00, Salary Work Schedule: M - F, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., occasional nights and weekends Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: The LASSO Center at Oklahoma State University is the largest student-led academic resource on campus and provides free tutoring and supplemental instruction (SI) for OSU undergraduate students. The Assistant Director of the LASSO Center plays a vital role in supporting student success and academic achievement. Reporting directly to the Assistant Provost for Student Success, the Assistant Director will assist in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services aimed at enhancing student learning, retention, and graduation rates. The incumbent will collaborate with various stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and holistic student development.Key Responsibilities:-Recruit, train, supervise and support professional staff, graduate assistants, and student employees within the LASSO Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to students.-Assist in the strategic planning and management of the LASSO Center, aligning its goals with the university's mission and strategic initiatives.-Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and assessment of academic support programs and services to enhance student success, including peer tutoring, supplemental instructions, academic support workshops, etc.-Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and other campus units to promote LASSO Center resources.-Develop and maintain effective communication channels to inform students, faculty, and staff about LASSO Center services, resources, and events.-Collect and analyze data related to student academic performance, utilization of services, and satisfaction to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.-Assist in the development and management of the LASSO Center budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources.-Stay abreast of best practices, trends, and research in student success, academic support services, and higher education to enhance the effectiveness of the LASSO Center's programs and initiatives.-Serve on university committees and task forces related to student success, retention, and academic support as assigned.-Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Provost for Student Success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in higher education administration, counseling, student affairs, or a related field, and three years of related academic support experience.   
Preferred Qualifications:


Master's degree in higher education administration, counseling, student affairs, or a related field.
