Overview

  • Responsible for accounting transactions and maintenance activities including Journal Entries, Disbursements, as well as requesting Aliases, Provider Codes, and MG Numbers.

  • Creates invoices, reconciles receivables and follows up on payment.
  • Identifies funding accounts for accounts payable across Missions and account types.

  • Organization and maintenance financial transaction records and reports in the Finance shared drive.

  • Supply and equipment procurement support
  • Complete special projects as assigned. This will include a variety of assignments using current and historical data. Also, cross train and work with other administrative personnel.



Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AND
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience

Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):

  • Prior Academic Health Center or relevant financial specific experience performing analysis related to operational improvements and business cases.
  • Proficient with use of PC including database and spreadsheet applications.
  • Proficient with spreadsheet skills, including simple functions, formulas, and formatting.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Understanding of financial reporting concepts such as cost accounting and net present value analysis.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior Academic Health Center or relevant financial specific experience performing analysis related to operational improvements and business cases.
