Department: Production Job Status: hourlyReports To: Production Supervisor Work Schedule: schedule may vary depending upon workload POSITION: The Production Lead works directly with the Production Supervisor in providing leadership and supervisory coordination continuity in all aspects of the cheese production operations. The person's role is to assist in maintaining a high level of productivity and continuous improvements with assigned shifts in the area safety, reliability, cost savings, team building, and personal management. As with all positions at Prairie Farms to include all food safety and quality requirements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:The Production Lead is responsible for the overall performance of the days as it pertains to labor management, production, scheduling, cheese yield and system flow, while focusing on safety, quality, cost and employee environment. Experience with all aspects of food safety, packaging and inventory control is a major factor in orchestrating the duties of this position. Duties include actively promoting and supporting safety and product quality program(i.e. GMP'S, HACCP, preventative controls, quality, food defense, and sanitation standards) and initiative working closely with Supervisor, QA and team members.
