The Center for Mediation and Collaboration RI is a non-profit community mediation center that provides effective conflict management and dispute resolution services, along with training and development in the areas of conflict management, communication and mediation. Our focus areas are:
Access to Justice in the RI District Courts
Private mediation (Including workplace)
Training and professional development workshops for adults, managers, youth and school communities
Supporting the agriculture community through mediation, training and the Land & Sea Together program
Position Summary: The Strategic and Development Director is a growth-minded, innovative person who will take initiative and work with the Executive Director, staff and volunteers to grow our services, tell our story and expand the potential of the organization. The right candidate will successfully work with people, systems and processes to increase awareness and use of mediation and conflict resolution in Rhode Island.
Position Details
Reports to: Executive Director
Work Schedule: Full-time/40 hours a week; some evenings may be required.
Work Location: Hybrid
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 (annually); competitive and commensurate with experience; Benefit Status: Eligible for medical, 401k retirement plan, vacation, sick, and paid holiday time.
Essential Functions
Increase public awareness of the Center through in-person and virtual presentations, with the goal of creating new revenue streams.
Communicate the work and opportunities of the Center through social media platforms and other avenues
Increase fund development through annual appeals, strategic donor cultivation and stewardship, data management and relationship building
Assist with grant management including application, reporting and fiscal management
Assist with planning, development and delivery of youth and adult training programs, including obtaining industry-standard approval
Supervise part- and full-time employees as needed
Provide timely and professional communication
Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Bilingual preferred
Mediation experience is a plus- Lead Mediator status achieved
Demonstrated experience with efficiency software and social media platforms
