Collaborate with 3rd party benefit providers, brokers and vendors (Cigna, United, Fidelity, etc) to ensure smooth delivery of benefits services to employees
Produce invoice reports for multiple vendors and audit for discrepancies before submitting to accounting by end of month
Facilitate annual open enrollment and create informative materials such as presentations and flyers to further employee understanding of benefit offerings and/or upcoming changes
Participate in new hire orientation and onboarding/enrollment of new hires weekly
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits programs, such as HIPAA and ERISA
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding inquiries, concerns, and issues
Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits deductions, reconciliations, and reporting
Qualifications
Obtained/obtaining a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Prior experience in benefits administration, employee relations or a similar role
Knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations and best practices related to COBRA, leave of absences, HIPPA, ERISA and 401k plans
Proficient in Excel utilizing PivotTables and VLOOKUP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and interact with employees at all levels
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to empathize with employees concerns and needs
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential employee information
