Essentra Components is immediately hiring for a Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team and be responsible for setting the correct inventory parameters to target the right stock in the right place at the right time.

As a Demand Planner you be responsible for the following:

• Maximize the core functionality of SO99+ forecasting system to develop accurate statistical forecasts for the Components business
• Champion forecast accuracy to drive inventory optimization processes without compromising stock availability and service
• Pro-actively investigate forecast accuracy performance, assessing deviations and supporting re-forecasting as appropriate
• Undertake the monthly analysis and review of planning parameters including the management of Customer Service Standard (CSS) codes by facility
• Assist in managing the inventory holding at each Essentra site to best meet overall company working capital & service objectives
• Improve stock availability and OTIF % in facilities by driving the improvement of forecast accuracy, supporting the Company's objectives for on time dispatch
• Review supply constraints, stock levels and excess inventory with relevant departments and agree action plans to support KPI improvements
• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders within Marketing, Sales & Commercial and Supply Chain to drive visibility and ownership
• Support the wider initiative of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by aiming to integrate commercial / market intelligence into supply chain operations
• Improve ways of incorporating demand data within Inventory Management Systems
• Identify slow-moving & obsolete parts and challenge the Commercial teams to manage their phase-out
• Perform Stock Amnesty with satellite warehouses to return product to faster moving location
• Proactively identify and implement process, system and data improvements within the Demand Planning function in line with strategic company objectives
• Document /update Essentra Demand Planning processes
• Complete project work within the Demand Planning function as required
• Continuously improve systems, processes and procedures relating to inventory management
• Responsible for capturing market intelligence (promotions, base, seasonality, trends etc.) in developing a robust 12 month rolling forecast.
• Challenge Commercial Team where needed to ensure the most accurate demand data is captured within the Forecasting system
• Professional User for Demand Planning system (SO99+)
• Drive improvement of Forecast Accuracy to maximize stock availability & OTIF
• Participate and support the development of S&OP Process
• Ensure business inventory levels are optimized in line with overall company's objectives
• Optimize Inventory Management / Demand Planning processes

Who we are looking for:

• Knowledge of Supply, Demand, Inventory planning in a multi- site, multi- region business
• Experience of complex supply networks, with large scale item location combinations
• Competent Planning System user, and working with multiple databases across Countries
• Experience working within a manufacturing and distribution environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
